Shahbaz Paymani - Unity is the Solution

Shahbaz Paymani has studied in Bath, and lived in Swindon since 1990.
After school he did a voluntary year of service in Switzerland.

I’ve been a Bahá'í since I was born really, because my parents were Bahá'ís. But as I’ve got older it has been a mission of discovery to find out what the Bahá'í Faith really means to me.

I think the Bahá'í faith has many qualities which attract me to it. It’s truly a religion in which the central principle of unity is shown through the lives of all Bahá'ís. It’s a religion which promotes caring for each other, not just promoting the selfish needs of your own and your family.

With all the problems that we see around us, with all the global and domestic problems, I think the Bahá'í Faith offers a true solution, something very special for the people of today – and especially for the young people, because we are the next generation, and we’re going to have to take on this world and really see how we can make it a better place for everyone to live in.

It’s truly a religion in which the central principle of unity is shown through the lives of all Bahá'ís

One very special thing that has stuck out in my Bahá'í life is my visit to Haifa, Israel, which is the World Centre of the Bahá'í Faith, and the unity among the Bahá'ís that were there, this gathering of so many different races and cultures.
