The parenting class programme
is discussion based, and offers parents (and non-parents),
whether Bahá'í or not, an opportunity
to discuss their individual experience of raising
children and providing them with spiritual education.
There is no teacher, but a facilitator guides the
participants through a series of topics over the
different sessions. The topics covered include communication,
consultation, attracting children to spiritual ideas,
prayer and meditation in the home, the equality
of the sexes, discipline and Bahá'í
identity.
The aim of the classes
is to help parents foster a loving atmosphere in
the home, which will nurture the physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual growth of the child.
